This has to be one of my favorite sessions of all time. I mean, just look at these kids, they are gorgeous and such a sweetheart of a family! 

I had the privilege of photographing this family on a crisp fall morning. 

There is a reason fall is my favorite time of the year.

The Blackmons | Family Session

I have had the privilege of watching the Blackmon family grow. 

First, I was a bridesmaid in Scott and Ashley's wedding. I had a front row seat as the radiant bride happily said, "I do!" to her beaming beau. 

A few years later, in a flurry of excitement we (Uncle Kirk, Papaw, and I) drove from Ohio to North Carolina to meet the wee little Cole. He was so small and adorable. I will never forget the moment he grinned at me as I laid him in his sweet woodland animal owl swing. (It may have been gas causing his sudden effervescence, but I choose to believe otherwise...) :)

A couple years later,  they moved to Ohio and another little boy joined the family. I was able to hold sweet little Drake in my arms not long after he made his entrance into this big blue world. 

Can it really get any better than that? I mean, seriously! What a blessing to have family so near. I try not to take it for granted. 

A few weeks ago, Ashley messaged me and asked if I would be willing to shoot some family portraits, and I was like... uh, yes! As we gathered at our location to begin the shoot, Ashley spilled the beans..."I'm pregnant!"

I screamed! 

I laughed!

I felt so honored to be the one they asked to take the photos that would help announce to the world their BIG news!

So, here they are... 

The Blackmons: Beautiful Family of  FIVE!
